SEALED BIDS: DGS will receive sealed bids at 707 Third Street, 2nd floor reception area, West Sacramento, California 95605, before 2:00 P.M., October 28, 2020. A public opening and reading of the Bids will be held on October 29, 2020 at 10:00 A.M . at the above address for the following project:

In an effort to maintain proper social distancing, the bid opening may be held in the atrium. At the public bid opening, all bids received before 2:00 P.M., on October 28, 2020 will be opened and recorded onto a Preliminary Bid Tabulation. The Preliminary Bid Tabulation will be made available immediately after the bid opening is completed, and will be posted to the solicitation event on CSCR.

The bids shall include all Work pursuant to the Drawings and Project Manual, and Addenda as may be issued prior to bid opening date.
Scope of Work: This project consists the removal of identified barriers to accessibility at (4) multi-story buildings and (1) multi-story parking structure at the East End in downtown Sacramento . The facilities are multi-tenant and the work is to be phased to allow building occupants to continue business activities , see Supplementary Conditions 00 73 00 for phasing restrictions and requirements. Major
components of work include access barrier removal in the path of travel for common areas, upgrades at restrooms, signage corrections, corrections to elevators and elevator lobbies, exterior site work and parking accessibility corrections.
License: Contractors’ State License Classification required to bid Project: 8
Availability of Funds: Award of this contract is subject to the availability of funds through the State’s normal budget process and/or transfer of funds to the Department of General Services through the Architecture Revolving Fund.
Pre-bid Site Inspection: Bids will only be accepted from those Contractors having attended the MANDATORY pre-bid site inspection tour on October 14, 2020, at 9:30 A.M., at which time representatives of the State and prospective bidders shall meet at 1616 Capitol Avenue, Security Desk, Sacramento, CA. The State’s requirements for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation and other Contract requirements will be presented. Prime Contractors are encouraged to
have their Key Administrator and DVBE office coordinator attend to receive this information and to have their questions answered. Attendance for the entire inspection is required in order for bidders to be eligible to submit a bid. ·
