This project is being bid in accordance with Government Code 14838.7 and is open only to Small Business and Micro Business contractors certified through the California Department of General Services, Office of Small Business and DVBE Services.

Project labor, material and services necessary for: Carpet removal and replacement.

License required to bid the project: C-15

Successful bidder shall furnish payment and performance bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price.

Prospective bidders must attend the mandatory pre bid site inspection tour on April 20, 2020, at 1400 Tenth Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. Inspection tour will begin at 9:30 A.M., which time representatives of the State and prospective bidders shall meet in the lobby at 1400 TENTH STREET, SACRAMENTO, CA 95814. The State’s contract requirements will be presented.

Bid forms will be available for download at the plan room website identified below or at http://www.caleprocure.ca.gov/. Click on “Get Public Procurement Information” and then “See Current Bids”. In the Event name field, enter the project number and click search. While viewing the Event Details, click on “View Event Package” to view bid forms.

SEALED BIDS: The Facilities Management Division, Direct Construction Unit will receive sealed bids at Department of General Services, Office of Business and Acquisition Services, 2nd floor, West Sacramento, CA 95834 before 2:00 P.M., May 5, 2020.

A public bid opening will be held on May 6, 2020 at 2:00 P.M., at 707 3rd Street, 2nd Floor reception area, West Sacramento, CA 95605. If bidders decide to attend the bid opening, to maintain proper social distancing, the bid opening may be held in the ground floor atrium. At the public bid opening, all bids received before 2:00 P.M., on May 5, 2020, will be opened and recorded onto a Preliminary Bid Tabulation. Bidders do not need to attend the bid opening as the Preliminary Bid Tabulation will be made available very soon after the bid opening is completed and will be posted to the solicitation event on CSCR.

It is the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure timely delivery of the bid. A postmark, electronic or facsimile transmission will not be accepted as meeting the delivery time requirements if the bid is received after the specified deadline. Bidders hand-delivering their bids should consider time for traffic, parking, clearing security procedures at the building entrance and walking to the bid drop-off location. There is limited short-term parking in front of the building and adjacent parking garage (hourly charges incurred) as well as limited (possibly metered) street parking.

State’s estimated cost: $180,000. The term of this project is 60 Calendar Days. The State’s Project Manager is Eugene “Gene” Harris at (916) 324-1229.
