The bids shall include all Work pursuant to the Drawings and Project Manual, and Addenda as may be issued prior to bid opening date.

Scope of Work: Project comprises labor, material and services necessary for: re-surfacing and re-striping of an existing asphalt vehicle parking area.

License: Contractors’ State License Classification required to bid Project: A

Availability of Funds: Award of this contract is subject to the availability of funds through the State’s normal budget process and/or transfer of funds to the Department of General Services through the Architecture Revolving Fund.

Pre-bid Site Inspection: Bids will only be accepted from those Contractors having attended the MANDATORY pre-bid site inspection tour on April 29, 2020, at 9:00 A.M., at which time representatives of the State and prospective bidders shall meet at Office of Emergency Services Facility located at 3650 Schriever Avenue, Mather, CA 95655. The State’s requirements for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation will be presented along with other contract requirements. The DVBE participation requirement for this project is 3%. Bidders are required to be in attendance for the entirety of the pre-bid site inspection and sign out at the conclusion.

SEALED BIDS: A public bid opening will be held on May 13, 2020 at 2:00 P.M., at 707 3rd Street, 2nd Floor reception area, West Sacramento, CA 95605. If bidders decide to attend the bid opening, to maintain proper social distancing, the bid opening may be held in the ground floor atrium. At the public bid opening, all bids received before 2:00 P.M., on May 12, 2020, will be opened and recorded onto a Preliminary Bid Tabulation. Bidders do not need to attend the bid opening as the Preliminary Bid Tabulation will be made available very soon after the bid opening is completed and will be posted to the solicitation event on CSCR.

It is the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure timely delivery of the bid. A postmark, electronic or facsimile transmission will not be accepted as meeting the delivery time requirements if the bid is received after the specified deadline. Bidders hand-delivering their bids should consider time for traffic, parking, clearing security procedures at the building entrance and walking to the bid drop-off location. There is limited short-term parking in front of the building and adjacent parking garage (hourly charges incurred) as well as limited (possibly metered) street parking.
