INVITATION TO BID
SEALED BIDS: The Project Management and Development Branch will receive Sealed Bids at 707 Third Street, 2nd Floor reception area, West Sacramento, California 95605, before 2:00 P.M., June 18, 2019, and then followed with a public opening and reading of the Bids at the above address for the following project:
AUBURN CAMPUS: KITCHEN MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM AND DORM REPLACEMENT

The bids shall include all Work pursuant to the Drawings and Project Manual, and Addenda as may be issued prior to bid opening date.
Scope of Work: Project consists of demolishing the existing single-story dormitory and replacing it with a new dormitory building on approximately the same footprint, and constructing a new kitchen/multipurpose building on what is currently a parking lot/basketball area. Site improvements include a new 50KWH photovoltaic panel array, surface parking lot, loading dock, and turn-around area, outdoor basketball court, walkways, landscape, site utilities, and a storm water retention pond. Project shall be constructed to obtain USGBC Leed Silver New Construction 3.0.
License: Contractors’ State License Classification required to bid Project: B.
Refer to Document 00 22 00, Supplementary Instructions to Bidders, Subparagraph 2.1.3 and 2.1.4, regarding performance of work of a Fire Protection specialty contractor license classification C-16 and Fire Sprinkler Fitter Certification Requirements.
Availability Of Funds: Award of this contract is subject to the availability of funds through the State’s normal budget process and/or transfer of funds to the Department of General Services through the Architecture Revolving Fund.
Pre-bid Site Inspection: Bids will only be accepted from those Contractors having attended the MANDATORY pre-bid site inspection tour on April 16, 2019, at 9:30 A.M., at which time representatives of the State and prospective bidders shall meet at California Conservation Corp, Dining Hall, located at 3710 Christian Valley Road, Auburn, California 95602. The State’s requirements for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation and other Contract requirements will be presented. Prime Contractors are encouraged to have their Key Administrator and DVBE office coordinator attend to receive this information and to have their questions answered. Attendance for the entire inspection is required in order for bidders to be eligible to submit a bid.
