SEALED BIDS: The Facilities Management Division will receive Sealed Bids at 707 Third Street, 2nd
Floor reception area, West Sacramento, California 95605, before 2:00 P.M., September 6, 2018, and
then followed with a public opening and reading of the Bids at the above address for the following

The bids shall include all Work pursuant to the Drawings and Project Manual, and Addenda as may be
issued prior to bid opening date.
Scope of Work: Major components of Project Work consist of: demolition of the existing heat pumps
and provision of new heat pumps with greater cooling capacity and replacement of the existing cooling
tower. Related work includes structural housekeeping pads and upgrades of electrical services as
required for the new mechanical equipment. Sprinklers and fire alarm devices will need be relocated
where affected by the new equipment.
License: Contractors’ State License Classification required to bid Project: B

performance of work of a Fire Protection specialty contractor license classification C-16.]
Availability Of Funds: Award of this contract is subject to the availability of funds through the State’s
normal budget process and/or transfer of funds to the Department of General Services through the
Architecture Revolving Fund.
Pre-bid Site Inspection: Bids will only be accepted from those Contractors having attended the
MANDATORY pre-bid site inspection tour on August 22, 2018, at 10:00 A.M., at which time
representatives of the State and prospective bidders shall meet at 1515 Clay Street, Oakland, Alameda
County, CA 94612. The State’s requirements for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE)
participation and other Contract requirements will be presented. Attendance for the entire inspection
is required in order for bidders to be eligible to submit a bid.
