The bids shall include all Work pursuant to the Drawings and Project Manual, and Addenda as may be issued prior to bid opening date.
Scope of Work: Major components of Project Work consist of: Removing walls and doors, modifying existing walls for soundproofing, providing locking hardware at private offices, modifying ceiling and lighting as required, new hardware activated by push button at reception desk doors, replace carpet and base, removing old and installing new communications cabling and providing electrical at IT areas to provide for IT infrastructure and at new modular Systems Furniture(NIC).
License: Contractors’ State License Classification required to bid Project: B.
Availability Of Funds: Award of this contract is subject to the availability of funds through the State’s normal budget process and/or transfer of funds to the Department of General Services through the Architecture Revolving Fund.
Pre-bid Site Inspection: Bids will only be accepted from those Contractors having attended the MANDATORY pre-bid site inspection tour on August 8, 2018, at 11:30 A.M., at which time representatives of the State and prospective bidders shall meet at 100 Paseo De San Antonio, San Jose, CA 95113. The State’s requirements for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation and other Contract requirements will be presented. Prime Contractors are encouraged to have their Key Administrator and DVBE office coordinator attend to receive this information and to have their questions answered. Attendance for the entire inspection is required in order for bidders to be eligible to submit a bid. A second MANDATORY pre-bid site inspection tour is scheduled for Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at 100 Paseo De San Antonio, San Jose, CA. Interested parties should meet at the Building Managers’ office on the first floor for an introduction prior to the pre-bid site inspection tour. Contractors who attended the August 8, 2018 pre-bid site inspection tour are not required to attend.
