This project is being bid in accordance with Government Code 14838.7 and is open only to Small Business and Micro Business contractors certified through the California Department of General Services, Office of Small Business and DVBE Services.
Project Work consist of: labor, material and services necessary for: installation and emplacement of electric vehicle-charging devices including all electrical infrastructure and connections, commissioning and startups in designated locations at three State facilities identified in the design drawing and these specification.
License required to bid the project: B or C-10.
Availability of Funds: Award of this contract is subject to the availability of funds through the State’s normal budget process and/or transfer of funds to the Department of General Services through the Architecture Revolving Fund.
Successful bidder shall furnish payment and performance bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price.
Prospective bidders must attend mandatory pre-bid site inspection tour on October 25, 2017. This site inspection will commence at the visitor’s lobby of the California Energy Commission building located at 1516 Ninth Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. Inspection tour will begin at 9:00 A.M.. sharp at the Visitor’s lobby and will continue to the Franchise Tax Board project site. The State’s requirements for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation will be presented along with other contract requirements.

Alternatively, bidders may contact the local Builders Exchange to download the project Drawings and Project Manual.
Bid opening will be on November 8, 2017, at 2:00 P.M, at: Construction Contracts, 707 Third Street, Suite 2-350, West Sacramento, California 95605. State’s estimated cost: $117,000. The term of this project is 65 Calendar Days. The State’s Project Director is Abdi Farhang at (916) 376-5314.
