This is a re-advertisement of a Project for which bids were opened on September 6, 2017 and no contract was awarded. No revisions were made to scope of original work and Drawings and Project Manual, including Addenda, remain same as originally issued with exception of new bid opening date. New Bid Forms will be issued.
Project comprises labor, material and services necessary for: Bio-Safety Laboratory Renovation. Project Work consist of: Demolition, electrical, installation of roof mounted mechanical systems, tie-in of electronic controls into the existing control systems, installation of valves, ducting, plumbing, electrical raceway, wiring, cable, transformers, pole lines, panel boards, switchgear, and related work.
License required to bid the project: B
Successful bidder shall furnish payment and performance bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price.
Prospective bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid site inspection tour on December 13, 2018, at 850 Marina Bay Parkway, Richmond, CA 94804. Inspection tour will begin at 10:00 A.M. at the Richmond Campus. The State’s requirements for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation will be presented along with other contract requirements. The DVBE participation requirement for this project is 3%. Bidders are required to be in attendance for the entirety of the pre-bid site inspection and sign out at the conclusion.
Security Clearance: Bidders’ attention is directed to the deadline to contact Mr. Robert Oates, Project Director, at (916) 375-6736 no later than 4:00 P.M., December 7, 2018, and provide (1) full name, (2) telephone number, and (3) company represented.
Bid forms will be available for download at the plan room website identified below or at http://www.caleprocure.ca.gov/. Click on “Get Public Procurement Information” and then “See Current Bids”. In the Event name field, enter the project number and click search. While viewing the Event Details, click on “View Event Package” to view bid forms.

Bid opening will be January 3, 2019, at 2:00 P.M, at: 707 3rd Street, 2nd Floor Reception Area, West Sacramento, CA 95605.
State’s estimated cost: $3,700,000. The term of this project is 365 calendar days.
